Review: ‘Appy Kids’ Minions Kids’ Juices

When we were asked to review ‘Appy Kids’ Minions Kids’ Juices I knew straight away Amelia would be very happy about this one! From the moment we started weaning I was pretty strict on minimum sugar. I rarely gave Amelia chocolate and she never had a drink that wasn’t milk or water – that has definitely changed now! Although I do try to keep it in moderation it is nice to give her and Max a little treat now and again. This is one of the reasons I loved Appy Kids! They don’t load their drinks up with the bad stuff and too much sugar, but they still have the great taste!

Appy Kids Co values families before profit, so all our wholesome products are created using ethically sourced premium ingredients, to ensure that we are always affordable, approved by the family, and loved by kids.
We are on parents’ side, and believe that you should have the freedom of choice when choosing better produce for your family. This is why our offering consists of delicious drinks and snacks specifically targeted to children and made using goodness from nature

First Impressions

The Minions juice pouches are very appealing to the eye and I know for sure children of all ages would love the design. In fact, Amelia is 2 and she was really excited by the picture as was my 10 year old brother. It isn’t always easy to get children eating, drinking and enjoying healthier options when most junk food and drinks are very bright and stand out so the idea to put popular pictures on these pouches, I think, is very clever!

Recently I’ve been thinking more about what my family and myself are consuming and my goal is to completely transform the way we all eat and drink. This is pretty easy at home because they know if their thirsty they have water and if they need a snack we have a pretty large fruit bowl! The challenge I find is when we’re out and about and they like to have a little treat, I don’t mind this since it isn’t very often but I’m sure every parent always dreads that sugar rush other sugary kiddie drinks give and then have to deal with the dreaded crash afterwards where everything seems to be the end of the world and that shopping trip turns into a screaming disaster.

Since we’ve been reviewing the Minion juices we haven’t really had this same disaster and its been great! I just pop a few of the pouches along with their water bottles in their change bag and boom! A simple solution when they point out the sugary juice they must have because boring water just isn’t cutting it anymore, is now solved by these little drinks packed full of vitamins like A, C and E which is great for the immune system! Definitely a win win!

The Verdict

Basically, we all love them! From the mummy point of view, they’re healthy, make life far simpler, look really good and taste lovely! (Yes, I had to try one myself of course and honestly it was a struggle to share with the kids! Ha!)

And the kiddies give them a big thumbs up too!

You can buy Appy Kids juices in store from Tesco, Wholesale Foods Market, Spar, Poundland & Paultons Park, And online from Tesco & Ocado. I’ve also spotted other Appy Kids juice range bits in B&M and Aldi too!

Have you ever tried any products from Appy Kids? What did you think? If not, will you be hunting some down to try? I’d love to know 🙂

*We were sent these juices for the purpose of the review, all thoughts and opinions are my own and the children’s!
