Review: Shake, Rattle & Roll!

On Wednesday we headed off to attend Shake, Rattle and Roll‘s Christmas launch party which really gave us an insight as to what to expect at the upcoming Pop Up Playgroup sessions.

Shake Rattle & Roll is a pop up play group for parents and their babies. They facilitate soft play sessions in a variety of venues across Cornwall providing parents with an opportunity to unwind whilst their babies play happily with a selection of toys in their pop up play area. A specifically laid soft foam mat and age specific toys creates the perfect space for parents to put their baby down to play and socialise with other babies, whilst they supervise them and chat to other parents making that all important support network.

When we arrived there was a blanket on the floor with balloons scattered around, Santa’s sack filled with toys and cushions all around.

There were already a lot of people there when we arrived (which of course was half an hour late since mother and I have zero sense of direction!) The turnout was pretty impressive I thought and people were turning up throughout the whole morning.

Overall it was great fun and Max loved the chatter of the parents and babble of the babies as well as the many toys!

At the end of the session we all got a goodie bag to take home which was a really sweet touch with some bubbles inside, a scented candle, a chocolate lolly and some leaflets. Needless to say Amelia really enjoyed the chocolate and bubbles!

Amelia loved having a hot chocolate with marshmallows from the bar downstairs!

I definitely recommend anyone from Cornwall attending the Shake, Rattle & Roll‘s pop up playgroup sessions as you and your children are sure to have a great time and meet lots of new people including Charlotte – who runs the playgroup and is really lovely (we only had a short chat as it was so busy and both had babies to run around after)

Follow Shake, Rattle & Roll on Facebook for further playgroup dates!

Thanks for reading!
