Amelia’s Halloween Basket

Halloween is coming up and it’s a season I really love, especially with all of the yummy sweets and scary costumes. Now with children it’s even better especially since this year Amelia is a bit more aware of what’s going on (she’s terrified, but still she’s aware!). Themed baskets are a tradition that I want to keep going throughout each holiday and each year and I’m so excited for our first ever Halloween Themed Basket.

Inside Amelia’s hamper:

  • Boo sleepsuit
  • Peppa Pig’s Pumpkin Party board book
  • Peppa Pig’s Halloween sticker activity book
  • Milky bar white chocolate ghost
  • Chocolate pumpkin filled with smarties
  • Paw Patrol chocolate lollies
  • Pumpkin glow stick
  • Micky Mouse plate & bowl
  • Pumpkin battery tea lights

I still really don’t like children having sweets and too much sugar so I’ve opted instead for a few chocolate treats which I know she will love so much more anyway.

I love themed books and Amelia loves Peppa so these was a perfect fit! The best thing about them is that they were both only £2 each brand new from a stall at our local fair last month. Straight away Amelia was flicking through the board book enjoying the pictures.

Since Halloween is all about fun I thought she would love some themed activities to do too. We are all big foodies so of course we will just have to make some Halloween cupcakes and the sticker book will be great for a rainy day activity.

I found these really cute matching themed Micky Mouse plate and bowl in Tesco’s for only £1 each which I thought was awesome and a lovely little addition to mealtimes around Halloween.

I added in a few little bits for trick or treating and Halloween night. Some little battery tea lights to go inside her pumpkins and a pumpkin glow stick so the dark isn’t as scary.

Max is only 3 months old so it didn’t really make sense to make him a basket this year so I will wait until next year when he’s a bit older and can properly introduce him to the tradition. I did however get him and Amelia matching sleepsuits from Tesco that I love! And only £5 each!! Don’t they just look adorable?!!

What are your Halloween traditions? And what’s in your little ones basket/s? Happy Halloween!

  2. Oh, I love their matching Boo sleepsuits! This is such a cute idea, I think I’m going to do something similar next year for my son (like you though, we’re much more of a chocolate family!) He’d love those Peppa books too – I can’t seem to read anything else with him lately (I’ve been desperately trying!) Thanks so much for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
