I really love making occasions extra special with personalised gifts and Father’s Day was yet another excuse to do just that. Jack isn’t really a big fan of Father’s Day and thinks it’s just another excuse to spend money, and you can get a lot of junk that’ll just sit in the cupboard an never be used. And I agree, I mean, how many ‘Worlds best dad’ mugs do you really need after all?!So I decided to create something totally unique that is mainly for Amelia but full of sentiment for Jack to keep forever.
I found Penwizard whilst scrolling through Facebook one day and knew straight away what a great treat for both Jack and Amelia this girl would be. Hopefully it will get a lot of use so there’s no fear of it being sat hidden away somewhere never to be thought of again, especially as Amelia really is a little Peppa Pig addict and loves the books! It is such a great way to increase daddy-daughter bonding time whilst Amelia learns.
The pages are made from paper rather than the board books material so for its own safety Amelia is a bit too young to get her hands on it alone. The content is really humorous and even made me and my mum giggle! You can personalise the characters in the book to look like whom they are representing which makes it that little bit more special!
As well as the book, we carried on with the Peppa Pig theme (Amelia really does like it!!) and got a cute little key ring and some Super Dad socks too. The key ring was only …. From Morrisons and the socks were only £2.50 from Tesco so really good value for money!
The book itself cost £14.99 which I think although this gift may seem pricey, the sentiment behind it is priceless so in the end it’s totally worth it.
Father’s Day isn’t just a day for daddies, it’s a day for Grandparents too so if the main guy in your little one’s life is their Grandad, there is also a ‘My Grandpa’ book ready for personalisation.
I would definitely use this service again to find something quirky and original. They have books for all occasions too! Your child could star along side their favourite character in a Christmas book, Mother’s Day book, special birthday book or just an every day kind of book – literally whatever takes your fancy.
Overall the quality of the book is great and I definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a special gift for somebody they love.
